J. Heinrich Arnold serves as a senior pastor for the Bruderhof in the United States and abroad. Inspired by the Gospel imperatives to preach, teach, and heal the sick, Heinrich is also a teacher in Bruderhof schools (he specializes in history and Shakespearean drama) and works as a medical practitioner (he is a Physician Assistant). A contributing writer to Plough Quarterly, he has spoken in countries around the word on forgiveness and nonviolence, and has been active supporting international educational and health care initiatives in partnership with Save the Children, Samaritan’s Purse, and World Vision.
Closer to home, Heinrich is chaplain to the Ulster County Sheriffs’ Office and a board member of the Mount Academy where he directs the school’s Gospel Choir. Heinrich has been married to his wonderful wife Wilma for over twenty- five years. They have been blessed with seven children and three grandchildren.
